Assuresoft logo

I worked as a WordPress developer at AssureSoft, a multinational nearshore software development company with over 20 years of experience and development hubs across Latin America, including Bolivia and Paraguay. AssureSoft provides staff augmentation, dedicated software teams, and full-cycle software outsourcing services to clients across industries such as healthcare, fintech, e-commerce, hospitality, and legaltech, working with a tech stack that spans PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, React, Node.js, and many more modern technologies.

As part of AssureSoft's engineering team, I was staffed on multiple client projects simultaneously, delivering WordPress development solutions that ranged from custom theme and plugin development to full-scale platform maintenance and feature implementation. I worked within agile teams, following the company's quality-first standards and collaborating closely with project managers, designers, and developers across different time zones to meet client expectations and delivery deadlines.

My responsibilities included building and maintaining custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to each client's specific business requirements, implementing ACF Pro-based content management systems, developing custom Gutenberg blocks, and integrating third-party APIs and services into WordPress ecosystems. I also contributed to performance optimization efforts, conducting site audits, improving Core Web Vitals scores, and applying caching and image optimization strategies to ensure fast, reliable experiences for end users.

Throughout my time at AssureSoft, I had the opportunity to work with clients from diverse industries in the United States market, gaining hands-on experience in delivering enterprise-level WordPress solutions within a structured, ISO/IEC 27001:2022-certified development environment.

I worked as a WordPress developer on the digital platform for United Vein & Vascular Centers, a leading vascular healthcare provider in the United States. My responsibilities covered a wide range of feature development and maintenance tasks across their WordPress-based website. I built a dynamic physician search system powered by AJAX, allowing patients to find specialists by location and availability without page reloads. I developed a testimonials archive with support for both Vimeo and YouTube video embeds, as well as anchor link templates for improved in-page navigation. I also created specialized page templates including a Coming Soon state page, a quiz landing page, and a Before & After results template to support the company's marketing campaigns. On the technical side, I implemented schema markup for better SEO visibility, integrated Google Reviews and the Birdeye widget for reputation management, and developed a custom post type for treatment links and a physician partnership template. I worked extensively with ACF Pro flexible content fields and resolved multiple Gutenberg and rich text editor styling issues, as well as handling location card phone number logic across the site.

I worked as a WordPress developer for Hometown America, one of the largest operators of manufactured home communities in the United States. My work focused on maintaining and extending their BackOffice synchronization system, including debugging and optimizing cron jobs responsible for keeping community data up to date across the platform. I developed a home sold email notification system to automate communications triggered by property status changes, and worked on community data sync processes to ensure data integrity was preserved during updates. I also fixed a Facebook ad tracking URL issue that was affecting campaign attribution, built a shortcode for downloading amenity icons, and contributed to the blog with content development tasks aligned to the company's marketing goals.

I worked as a WordPress and WooCommerce developer for Carol's Cookies, a premium specialty cookie brand based in the United States. My work focused on resolving several critical issues affecting the site's functionality and user experience. I debugged and fixed an ACF icon selector that was not persisting values correctly, resolved a ZIP+4 postal code suppression issue that was causing problems during the checkout process, and performed targeted WooCommerce plugin downgrades to restore compatibility with the existing theme and custom functionality. My contributions helped stabilize the platform and ensure a reliable purchasing experience for their customers.

Upstream Rehabilitation logo

I worked as a WordPress developer for Upstream Rehabilitation, one of the largest physical and occupational therapy providers in the United States. My primary contribution was the design and development of the Student Rotation Manager, a comprehensive custom WordPress plugin built from the ground up to manage clinical rotation placements across more than 1,000 locations nationwide. The plugin featured a custom post type system, an interactive Google Maps integration using MarkerClusterer to efficiently handle and display large volumes of location markers, and a CSV upload and validation tool that allowed administrators to import and update location data in bulk. I built role-based access controls tailored for recruiter workflows and integrated the plugin with Gravity Forms to manage student application submissions. The solution also included state and zip code filtering to help users quickly narrow down placement options, and was built with full WordPress multisite compatibility to support the company's distributed network of clinics.

I designed and implemented a custom post type architecture to replicate the original content structure within WordPress, and built archive, search, and taxonomy templates to support the newsroom's browsing and filtering capabilities. I also resolved Gulp sourcemap configuration issues that were interfering with the front-end build pipeline, restoring a clean and reliable SCSS compilation workflow for the development team.
